Project Objective / overall Goal and Expected Results:
Overall Objective:Empowering PRIs to further Good Governance by ensuring Sustainable Development and Social Justice
Ensuring Rights & Entitlements of vulnerable communities through enhancing the accountability of PRIs towards effective implementation of Acts/policies and development programmes
Enabling the PRIs to advocate for actualizing Devolution of Powers and Enforcement of PESA
Strengthening state level collective advocacy actions for - (i) Actualising the spirit of devolution as laid down in 73rd constitutional amendment and PESA enforcement
INTERMEDIATE RESULT (1) : Panchayat annual development plans prepared by the people in 16 Panchayats find a place in district development plans
INTERMEDIATE RESULT 2: Marginalised people in 230 villages from 16 GPs in 3 districts exercise their rights and entitlements under sustainable livelihood and social security schemes.
INTERMEDIATE RESULT 3: Panchayat and block level PRIs (16 Panchayat of 8 blocks) functioning in a transparent and accountable manner in accordance with the existing State Panchayat Acts and PESA.

Major achievements till date:
Village Development Plans are developed in a participatory approach in the 230 project villages.Village and Panchayat level Institutions (Village Development Committees, Task Force, Wage seekers’ associations etc ) are formed and are being strengthened .
Base line data of the villages are collected to identify the most vulnerable families who are to access the social security schemes.
Capacity building of the staffs and Task Force members are done on Village Development plan preparation, FRA, MGNREGA, Revenue land laws and other social security schemes.
Advocacy actions are being initiated at panchayat and block level. Community member’s united representations on delay in wage payment, electric bills without giving connection, Paper miller’s ban on bamboo cutting in CFR applied forest etc are being heard of by the local administrations.
