Project Objective / overall Goal and Expected Results:
 
Project Objective: The living conditions of 862 disadvantaged people in Sarwan Block of Deoghar District, Jharkhand has to be improved.
 
Expected Results:
 
Result 1: Coordination and interaction of the Gram Sabha and other community based organisations (CBO) has improved.
 
Result 2: Role of women in decision making process has increased.
 
Result 3: Agriculture and sustainable farm production has improved.
 
Result 4: All boys and girls have completed full course of primary education.
 
Major achievements till date:
 
Household income among 750 families has been enhanced up to of € 16 per month per house hold.
 
The availability of food in the 600 households has increased from 7 months to nearly 10 months of year.
 
The success of female entrepreneurs strengthens the position of women.
 
Apart from active participation in village level institutions, some even got selected as members of district level monitoring committee and almost 14 women from SHGs, animators and gram sabha elected in recently concluded PRI election.
 
In case of education and gender equality, nearly 93 % of the total children from the project villages are going to primary school and 94% of the girls are attending school.
